Mutual insurer Western Provident Association (WPA) have won this years Moneyfacts Consumer Award for best Health Insurance Provider.
This award is based on consumers’ response to a survey of their experiences and is a real feather in WPA’s cap.
AXA PPP Healthcare were “Highly Commended” and Aviva were “Commended”.
There is also an award for the “Best Claims Service”, which is not limited to health insurers and WPA were “Commended” in this classification. The proof of the pudding for policy holders of private medical insurance plans is when making a claim and as an independent health insurance intermediary it’s a key part of our strategy to assess the insurer’s claims teams. We like to visit them to get a real understanding of their processes so that we can guide our clients through the claims experience.
