I’m very pleased to announce that my long time colleague, Simon Milner has been shortlisted with two others for the award of “Best Individual Impact by a Newcomer” in the annual Health Insurance Awards. As a relatively new Private Medical Insurance broker this is a great accolade for our team at Lesson Moore to be recognised in these national awards.

Although Simon and I have worked together for 13 years Simon qualifies as a health insurance “newcomer” due to the relatively short amount of time within the health insurance arena.

Even though I am biased I truly believe that he should win the award as nobody could have committed more to his role over the last two years, he’s saved his clients substantial amounts of money on their premiums and has bent over backwards to assist people with difficult claims. I’ve included some quotes from his clients below;

Tija Marketing Partner Ewen Logan wasn’t sure about taking medical insurance after a poor experience but found that the product Simon recommended and his care and support during a difficult claim exceeded his expectations.

“Simon really delivered on the vision he presented when I bought the insurance.  It’s unusual to have such level of after-care service from a broker and I’ve probably spent more time with him during my claim than when I was buying the product.  He has a high level of expertise and I wouldn’t have guessed that he is new to the industry.”

Director at Parliament Communications Limited, Marek Kriwald found Simon’s expert knowledge and persistence a valuable time-saver.  Marek was being pushed by his insurer to travel for treatment 33 miles from his workplace even though he’d already seen with a local specialist.

“Simon recognised that it made no sense for my insurer to approve my hospital of choice but not the consultants I needed to see.  He was able to change their minds by demonstrating that their option would cost more time, finance and stress as I would need to find a driver.  He has also recently saved us money on our renewal – I’m amazed to learn that he’s not been in medical insurance for all of his career”

The awards will be held on the 19th of October at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. Best of luck Simon.
